For Kicks Podcast, Episode 8

You win some, you lose some. Canada just did both in two international friendlies against Brazil.

In this episode, we recap the June 4 and 7 games CANWNT played on home turf against upcoming Olympic host country, Brazil. Since both matches were in stark contrast to one another, we had a few thoughts to share. Okay, maybe a lot of thoughts. With these two tough international games now under our belt, we look ahead to the next string of friendlies against France and China in July and make our predictions for the Rio roster, which we expect to be announced in the coming weeks. We also answer some great questions from listeners.

As a bit of a treat and change of pace, in this episode we welcome special guest Andrea, former keeper for team Ontario and the U-17 Canadian team, to talk to us about the direction of the team, thoughts about the first Brazil friendly and her predictions for Rio.

On a much more serious note, we are shocked and utterly devastated by the shootings that took place at Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12. At times like this it’s hard not to feel helpless, but we can all do something to help by donating to support the victims, their families and their community. Please visit and to give and learn more about how you can help.
