For Kicks Podcast, Episode 49: Canada at the Algarve Cup and an interview with Ciara McCormack

In late February, Canadian soccer player Ciara McCormack posted a story to her website detailing bullying, intimidation and inappropriate behaviour she witnessed when she was a player in the Vancouver Whitecaps and Canadian national programs. In this episode, Ciara joins us to talk about her diverse soccer career, her perspective on what Canadian soccer programs need to do to be safer and more accountable, and how she’s helping provide opportunities to players through TOPP Soccer.

But before we talk to Ciara, we take a look at Canada’s performance at the 2019 Algarve Cup. We give a rundown on the matches against Iceland, Scotland and Sweden, and talk about our major takeaways from the tournament—for better or for worse!
